Alverstoke Chiropractic - Your Path to Wellness

Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic treatment is a combination of specific massage techniques, joint manipulation or mobilisation and consultation on how to make changes which will stretch and strengthen the necessary areas and postural habits.

There is no upper or lower age limit to have chiropractic treatment. The youngest patient I have seen was 2 hours old and the oldest 97 (so far). A full history is taken for each patient and complete physical assessment is performed, the results of which you will be given before I ask for your consent to treat.

Our chiropractic adjustments are safe, non-invasive, and effective. We use a variety of techniques to restore your body's natural alignment, relieve pain, and improve your function and mobility.

Chiropractic for babies and children

We are proud to offer paediatric chiropractic care to support children from birth and beyond.  Philippa has completed extensive training in this field and sees little ones for a variety of conditions.

All treatments are gentle and non-invasive, children have been known to sleep right through.  We also have baby changing facilities and spares of everything so you can rest assured that we will be prepared whatever happens.

Baby Scales

In the practice there are a set of scales for babies which can be adapted for toddlers.  If you would like to use them before or after your appointment please feel free.

Alternatively you can book a space separately to weigh your little one.  Please note, these scales are good but not hospital grade so they are only suitable if your baby has no concerns about weight gain.

Chiropractic during pregnancy

A woman's body changes during pregnancy. Those changes include the softening of ligaments, weight increase and changes to posture that can lead to additional pressure on joints in various parts of the body, including the spine or pelvis.

Philippa is trained in a wide variety of techniques to help you deal with the stresses of pregnancy. Chiropractic care in pregnancy is a safe and gentle way to promote comfort and minimise back pain during your pregnancy. Chiropractic may also help relieve the stresses and strains placed on your body during pregnancy and after birth.

Alverstoke Chiropractic has a selection of pregnancy cushions so you can be comfortable while receiving treatment too.
